I loved this book so so much!! Everything about it was just perfect, and it was definitely a page-turner! The diversity was *chef’s kiss* and the plot was so bold and I just loved ittt!
Matthias’s character development was also pretty neat:’)
I got pretty bored at the start of the book, where it really dragged on for the first 100 pages, but it was totally worth it and really helped the plot. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars :)

Four years later and still a 5/5. Leigh Bardugo, I love you. Go read this book.
I kept hearing about how this was better than Shadow and Bone (which I enjoyed immensely). Though I was excited to learn more about Kaz and the crows, I mostly thought of it as a hurtle to read King of Scars. But ugh, this was so good.
The heist itself was pretty chaotic, but I enjoyed every twist and turn. I definitely enjoyed it more than I expected to, but at this point I should expect to be enamored by Leigh's writing. ...more

wow. this book was amazing and completely lived up to my expectations. i honestly liked it better than shadow and bone. the banter between the characters and the fast moving plot kept me interested the whole time.
I would give my soul to be a part of this world.
