What can I say about this book that hasn't already been said? It is a comfort read for me and I have read it four times since its release in 2019. I remember being truly apprehensive at first, as I am usually not a fan of anything involving the monarchy or royalty AUs and tropes. I. Just. LOVED. This book.
The story is great but the WRITING was amazing!! I’ve highlighted so many damn passages, I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I sobbed over the prose. Honestly if someone wrote to me with half the eloquence McQuiston writes with I will love them eternally.
Definitely my favourite queer read, I’ve been aggressively recommending this book to anyone who will listen (and then some).
