In a world of humans and Fae divided by a wall, young huntress Feyre murders a faery and dooms herself to spend the rest of her life on the other side of the wall.
Feyre is one of my favourite female characters of all times. She is not perfect, not by a long shot. She is still a child, who makes mistakes, is hot-headed and stubborn. She did the best she could with what life threw at her.
Tamlin, on the other hand, is almost too perfect to be real. A High Lord of Spring, he is powerful and strong ...more

One of the most hyped up books on my TBR, and it did not disappoint.
SJM is a queen and I love her writing.
I am ready for this series to rip me apart like TOG did
I have been told this series focuses more on rrrooomance than fighting as opposed to TOG.
With it being such a hyped up book, it was a little annoying to know who she ends up with in the end. However, I have absolutely no idea how that will happen.
This is a retelling right? I got the cinderella vibes with her family and then beauty an ...more

I love Sarah J. Maas's writing, especially with the Throne of Glass series, and so I don't want to be extremely picky but these are my thoughts. This book started off quite slow, put picked up its pace throughout the middle. All the characters had their moments, Feyre, Tamlin, Lucien, Rhysand, Alis, Feyyre's sisters. Lucien's sarcasm was hilarious though. It wasn't fantastic or mind-blowing like the Throne of Glass series, where in comparison to the second and third book, the first was the weake

*update* yay, got through Tamlin *snarls* and lived for my Rhys. *sighs dreamily*
Hey guys, so i just finished Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and holy moly, that was freaking intense. The novel was utterly breathtaking and spell binding. The author did an outstanding job at making every, single, detail spring to life. And at times, I didn't like the endless paragraphs portraying only to scenery, for I didn't understand how it enriched the story line, but overall I found it enjoyable t ...more

Let’s start from the beginning.
It began a little dull. Started very similarly to The Hunger Games in the sense that Feyre was the one going out hunting and making sure her family lived. I found this relatively uninspiring, maybe because I’d experienced this feature of her character in other books with characters I liked more.
The whole Beauty and the Beast thing had me feeling a bit bored of the plot from the beginning. This was probably because I didn’t initially realise it was based around th ...more

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I had previously read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and was very disappointed with it. So I was a little leery to try another of Ms. Maas's books but I'm glad I did. This is a series I can stick with. One big score here is the heroine isn't annoying. She at least seems like a real person. She doesn't really have any special talent that would be considered extraordinary she has just had to work hard to learn skills needed to survive.

Fantasy fans hang on tight because this is the next best thing! I absolutely loved this book. I am a fan of books about the Fey anyway but this one was a great new spin. It is loaded with conniving fairies who are out for themselves yet ones who can't help but love the human in their mist. There are riddles to solve to save lives and challenges of the flesh as well. There is romance and a great feminine lead!
