If I could give this anything higher than a 5, I would. This was so emotional for me I don't even know how to put it in words yet. RTC ...more

“And it begins, as so many stories do, with a dead girl.”

Another recommendation that I really had no thoughts about going in, but man...this was really impressive. It’s told in the form of podcast episodes which was new for me, but it worked. I did listen to the audiobook versus the physical copy, so I don’t know if that would have made a difference of not. This is one that I can definitely say I would read again.

It gets better

It took me almost half the book to feel invested in the story. I'm glad I stuck with it and I surprised myself in that I LOVED the ending. It was the beginner found a bit slow and confusing

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Wednesday Books for sending me a copy. I absolutely loved this book!

I picked it up and couldn't put it down. It is told in alternating chapters in podcast format and from Sadie's perspective and it really worked. Murder mystery/realistic fiction/strong female lead

I have to say I really enjoyed everything about this book. The narrative moving back and forth from Sadie and her experiences to the podcast which brought in the cast of characters who she had interactions with just seemed to blend seamlessly. Through the podcast you always feel like you are just one step behind Sadie.

I was really gripped into this story from the very beginning. Not one of those that it took me a while to get into. I think the

tw for rape, pedophilia, abuse, and according to lots of other reviews (5 and 1 stars) not even a good ending.

its a fast read, but its so.... i just hate books that are just torture porn for people, like I would understand a book where horrible things happens to the protagonist or secondary characters and there is other development and plot.

Also the podcast format may have been original when this debuted, but now its just meh.

This book kept you on your toes. I am hoping that there’s a sequel as I feel the ending was open ended!

usually don't take time to review but this one really hit me. not an easy read and not a happy ending. this broke my heart but it was sooo well written and handled tough subject matter with respect. have to say this is a book that needs to be read but not everyone will like it. i loved it. but was glad it was over cos it just devastated me. ...more
