"David looked at me then, the regret plain on his face. No matter what I said, we both knew the hard truth. We do our best, We try, And usually, it makes no difference at all.
So this was better than the first book, but I actually liked Alina less. And I'm not sure why. I think it might be because Nikolas came onto the stage and wiped the floor from everybody with his amazing character. Compared to him, Alina was just a whiny, annoying child.

Great book, so much suspense. Can't wait to see what happens next. Of course, Nikolai makes this book much better. #forevernikolaistan

This was really good!
Mild spoilers below. If you haven't read it, don't look.
Damn girls with their damn ignorance. I'm sick of all these girls in books that have devoted boyfriends and they just ignore them and keep secrets from them.
A relationship should not have secrets! It only makes everything worse.

I don't know what was wrong with them but I can understand they were out of their element, and I am glad things didn't escalate to stupidity, but I wanted more from the main charachters. Mal is so insecure and annoying. It's a shame because I kind of liked him as a character in the first book. But this was the most middle-book syndrome-ish book to ever exist. It was all very filler and I wish we had more drama or any kind of progression whether it be with the characters or any kind of plot progression.
