What I enjoy most about this book is the warm, mellifluous, poetic way it is written. It could be called a prose poetry narrative rather than a work of conventional fiction, and it has an autobiographical feel. Book of Wings relates a woman's journey though several relationships and climes, from Vancouver to the United States, the Carribbean, France and Morocco.
