Dnf. I gave this book three chances but god i just can't. I had such high hopes.
I'm usually not the one to write negative reviews. Forget negative reviews i don't even write reviews. But god this book got on my nerves on so many levels. Giving it one star was me being generous. I can't believe how it got so popular. No offence to Rooney and all the people who love this book, but this was just not my cup of tea. Connell and marrianne tried so hard to be different but failed miserably and ended up ...more

Ahhhhh I finished it..... I chose to read this book because Taylor Swift liked it and it partly sets in Dublin where I’ve been, but what a mistake that was. honestly, it was incredibly heartbreaking and revealing but very unsettling at the same time. every single thought they had made me meditate deeply about things that otherwise would never have crossed my mind.
i loved how most of the time while reading the book it just made me stop and think a lot like it left a lot of room for interpretation somehow.
