I’m not a RomCom fan because the format is always the same, and I’m not particularly fond of stories that are that predictable... but I understand the appeal, as it can be nice to know you are going to have an happy ending and a lot of fluff (and some smut if you are lucky) in between... but, overall the stories tend to follow a specific sort of arc that for me can get boring fast.

BUT this book was very well written and I could not put it down.

5/5 stars; not unlike any rom-com I've read before but it was just as good, if not better. this book had almost all of my favorite tropes in it (I am a sucker for fake dating, and ole reliable "who did this or said this to you? I will hurt them). adam was quirky (in a good way) and he and Olive were hilarious together. I liked that it had a plot and stuck to it too whereas a lot of these books have trouble only becoming about the romance. the representation in this book was very good as well wit ...more

I would 1,000% cut a bitch if I had the opportunity to have an Adam in my life like Olive did.
Olive was delightful and I loved the prologue and the payoff from the prologue and I fucking felt things when I read this novel to a level I haven't in awhile reading this particular trope. Maybe because I binged so many this year, so many of these novels are simply fine to me, this is a treasure though.

Ok so this is EVERYWHERE In the book world right now and the hype is real. I will say this…some things were pretty predictable and I was bummed having to wait so long for some spice. But! Having said that, I loved this book! The friendships, the nerdy science side of things, and the reality of Adam and Olives chemistry/relationship evolving…perfection! I loved the writing and the grumpy/sunshine dynamic. Winner in my book!

Eu quero dar 10000 estrelas pra esse livro.
Geralmente não ligo muito pra romance, mas eu amei esse livro do começo ao fim. Não tenho nada de ruim pra apontar. Claro que tem uns clichezinhos, mas eles não diminuem em nada a história e eu só posso dizer que amei, amei, amei.

Hate that I didn't absolutely love it!
But it's very good! I cant wait for her next book!
I'm just not used to the 3rd Person POV and it took me out of it to be honest.
Olive was great but she got on my nerves a lot. But she's overall a good MC.
