A book to take you out of a reading slump although, personally, I find the reveal massively underwhelming.
It happens, I guess, even during the worst week of your life. Horrible, earth-shattering stuff piles on top of you until you’re about to suffocate and then—it stops. And nothing else happens, so you start to relax and think you’re in the clear. That's a rookie mistake.
I recently binged both available seasons of One of Us is Lying on Peacock and really liked it. It's like Breakfast Club meets How to Get Away With Murder. The book is ok but I definitely prefer the show. There are lots ...more

Its "The Breakfast Club"......but death is in attendance.
This book was a lot more involving and profound than I anticipated.
I'm excited to read the sequel soon, I hope.

This was a wild ride from start to finish.
5 students.
1 ends up dead in detention.
Everyone has secrets.
If I didn’t jump to conclusions before this book made me an Olympic champion.
I suspected everyone and tried to figure out what hidden secret that would make someone go to extreme lengths to kill someone.
It didn’t help I feel in love with one murder suspect (Nate/criminal) and wanted to be best friends with another (Cooper/jock).
