What Members Thought
I wanted to like this book. I really did. Now the question is why did I give a book that REALLY irritated me tremendously 3 stars? Well, that's because I don't think it's a BAD book. It just wasn't for me. It's an objectively good book. I just DID NOT LIKE IT. This is not because I can't take sad/bittersweet endings. This is not because I don't like unique POVs. The trouble is, you have to enjoy the unique POV or it's just irritating.

I don't have words. Liesel Meminger had the words, I do not. I've just been crying for hours while I read and reread the ending of this book.

The Book Thief...ah, The Book Thief.
One of the only reasons I read this book was for school. The summer reading list for my English class included a classic and a modern, and made me take notes. I chose this one because I had tried to read it before, and *thought process* maybe it would be easier to take notes on a book I got around 100 pages into.
Truth is, the notes were hard. A long book is not a good book to take notes on. But this review isn't about the notes. It's about the book.
