I've got to say the second book is excellent. The first book was good, but this was a solid notch up and has me starting on the third book right away.
I'm enjoying the two year breaks between books too. That's a great way to handle a series that has a young character as a main focus. ...more

A great sequel to the first book. It doesn't move quite as fast as Furies of Calderon, but because you already know many of the characters it is equally as fascinating. The more I learn about Tavi, the better it gets. Therefore I was very pleased with the epilogue specifically in this book.

A GOOD story. Very densely written and hard to put down. Frustrating to read only during lunch hours. It's a book you must take home and read until the eyes fall shut.
