"Magic exists in the minds of those who believe in it, not in its actual influence on reality."

For the first 100 or so pages, this book completely had me. Creepy and uncomfortable, the idea that this woman with her eyes and mouth sewn shut roams town scaring everyone was beyond imagination. Their eating dinner stories and even the cameras and the decree were all really fascinating.
