Shelves: read-library, 2016
this book. I heard "Psychological Thriller" and knew I absolutely HAD TO READ IT!
I waited patiently for my library to get it, and then I read, and read, and read, finished it in a little over a day. Very good thriller, even though I guessed the culprit fairly early on there still was a little twist that surprised me yet it did not diminish my enjoyment of the book.

3.5 books. 5 year old Jacob is killed by a speeding car when he runs away from his mother into the road, but the driver doesn't stop. Interesting book that switches between a broken woman and the police detective investigating the fatal hit and run.

The story starts slow, but the unexpected twists were well done and this book would appeal to fans of Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. But there were some elements that really bothered me (view spoiler)

Such a good book. It is always fascinating read a book that has some of the perspective from the point of view from the abuser.

I found this incredibly slow moving. In the beginning I got the character confused, thinking it was the mother of the boy who died. I found out later it was not and that I was not the only one confused by this. I think it was intentional on the author's part. The end did pick up but I thought the book was too long and dragged out. ...more
