I have to be honest, I wasn't 100% sure how I'd feel about a book that takes place in the very beginning of COVID. But the actual pandemic is really a side note in the story. Sure, it's the push for certain things to move faster, but it all played out well and it didn't detract from the story.

And what a mystery! I was so confident that I had things figured out and I WAS SO WRONG! I loved the twists and turns, loved the reveals as they were slowly given. The timeline jumps around but I followed ...more

3.5 stars. I did enjoy this. Possibly the first psychological thriller (in what might turn out to be quite a few) starring Covid. I was definitely intrigued by the premise of the circumstances of lockdown playing into a crime thriller. Unfortunately a few things didn’t work for me. First, there is this trend now that every thriller must be told from multiple perspectives. Very smart. I thought I figured it out but no. It was sad though, much sadder than I like my thrillers. The detectives were my favorite characters. I’d read a book about them.
