What Members Thought

I loved this. I devoured every page and wanted to find out how everything turned out, along with not wanting it to end. There were a few times when Maxon, or especially America, got on my nerves, but that happens in many books. I still loved the interactions between the girls of the elite, and the maids. That’s one of my favorite types of story is girls together in competition or any grouping and the relationships they develop and interactions they have. Aspen annoyed me as well, but not as much

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I forgot all about this series. I had started a few years ago. As soon as I picked it up and started reading I was taken back to the dystopian world with America, Maxon, Celeste and the other girls from the Selection. I enjoyed how America grew and decided that she was going to fight for what she wants. I love how Prince Maxon and America are with each other. They are both young and have been through a lot. You learn a lot about all the girls that are lef

Another in the series I couldn't put down. It's the type of books you can't wait to see how it ends. It's a feel good kind of book, nothing to heavy to read. It's light hearted and so easy to read. Sometimes it just nice to read a book like that. Someone (other then myself) said this book series was a guilty pleasure and I totally get it. I want the next and the next until the whole series is gone. I LOVE all the characters but America and Maxon were so sweet. Moving on the The Heir

Finished this series since it was on the Kindle and I wanted something short to read. Reading book 2 and 3 took about 5 days combined.
In terms of plot.. it's a will-they, won't-they relationship. I was actually more interested in the subplot involving changing politics of the future America into a caste system.
Although there are more books in the series, the first three follow the main character and the rest follow another character. I feel like this wrapped up the plot for me so I won't conti ...more

From the very beginning, it was clear that America would win this Selection; after all, there wouldn’t be much of a story otherwise, and seeing as the next book is called “The Heir”, there is no doubt about how this book would end. This knowledge that the reader has, whether or not Cass wanted us to know this, made this book at times really annoying. Even in the third book, most of the pages are devoted to America trying to figure out what she wants, and trying to figure out what Maxon wants (wh

I think that the strength I saw in America in book one of this series spoiled me a bit. I haven't felt that same way about her since.
Since the first book a lot of insecurities have come to the surface. I understand it in a way, because how can you no question yourself when the man you want is also entertaining other women. I guess that's why I am not a fan of the bachelor or the bachelorette.

Absolutely loved this series!! Can't praise it enough.
Quite predictable from the first book in the series, but still had me hooked. Who doesn't love a Prince ;) ...more

4.5 stars. I enjoyed this book, but there were moments when I wanted to slap Aspen, Mer and Maxon.
