I originally started this book on Sept. 6th and I don't think I made it to the second chapter. Then I started it again a month ago and I was at a laundromat and it was so loud and I think I read to page 14 or 18. It was in the teens. On May 24th I started again and finished it on the 25th

I normally don’t read romance books but this was great for a lot of reasons. Plus size protagonist looking for love on reality tv dealing with sizist monsters, but also meets some pretty sweet characters. Learning to love yourself, believing you are worthy of love, seeing yourself as beautiful even when you don’t conform to traditional beauty standards, Bea is not a perfect person, but you root for her all the way. I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of the bachelor, so I went in uncertain that the premice would work for me. Overall, I liked the character of Bea and her interactions with the squeezes. While I loved the aspect of Bea being a strong independent plus-size woman who is going through a journey of self-discovery, why do we also need a gender fluid child, an asexual contestant, and a bi-sexual contestant. If you've ever watched The Bachelor and rolled your eyes at the "most dramatic rose ceremony ever", you'll enjoy this satire of the franchise. I thought it was so fun. Would be a great tv movie - especially so we could see those amazing outfits that Bea wore. ...more

This felt SO high stakes for me—I was completely invested in Bea’s journey. It felt like reading the Bachelorette and I’m a sucker for those shows. I loved the mixed media format too, it make the book fly by. I’m sad this is over but I am so happy I finally picked it up.
