A fun, twisty mystery. This one took a minute to get going but then, I was completely hooked. I enjoyed with a book club, reading each section and then meeting to chat. After Part 1, our theories were limited but we were fascinated by the characters. The ethical quesitons about the therapist. The wonder about the perfect couple. All the other chaos around them.

Then Part 2 leaves you at the perfect cliffhanger to need to keep reading. We theorized what was going on, what it coud all mean. It lead

Hendricks and Pekkanen have done it again! This one kept me guessing until the very end. I had suspicions that turned out to be correct, but I wasn't 100% sure and I just had to find out.

This was more of a 4-star not 5-star read for me due to a few challenges. I found the story slow at a few points. I loved this!! Avery might be one of the best characters I’ve read in a long time. Can we just have a series about her and all of her clients?! This book had layers and was oddly emotional and yet had all the things you look for in the genre. This writing duo never disappoints me!!

This one had some good twists and some satisfying results once reveals came out, while being a little too cleanly wrapped up.

whilst this book had plenty of tension and enough twists and turns it failed to create the menace that I expected.
