I couldn't help but compare the movie to the book. I love the movie. I can't even tell you how many times I've watched it. It has my Queen...Sandra Bullock in it, and the only other person's movies I rewatch with as much regularity is one of my other other Queens...Julia Roberts.

this book felt like it was more than just the sum of its parts. I was very invested in the characters and so wanted everything to work out for them. It felt at times like a fairy tale both in the content and in the way of its telling and also in the fact that there was an underlying morality and some off-beat humour
This is once of those instances where I watched the movie before I read the book. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's not so good. This is one of those not so good times. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the book. I just kind of liked the movie better in some ways.
