I only recently finished reading the second book in the series, and I've already had the opportunity to meet these characters again. Lately, I rarely read two books in the same series in such a short period of time. But now I definitely needed to dive into this world again.

The plot of this book is very good, as we have become accustomed to in previous books. And as in the previous books, we have several mysteries and several plot threads that riddle with each other. Our well-known group of frien ...more

I love that Osman writes about these wonderful, intelligent, energetic septuagenarians. The core of the Thursday Murder Club have returned to us: Elizabeth Best, Joyce Meadowcroft, Ibrahim Arif & Ron Ritchie - all with an admirable zest for life, & an ability to provide value to society, if they so choose. The Club's usual support staff are much in evidence, and there are newcomers to the fold - I wonder if they'll stay.
