I liked it but wasn't overly excited about reading it. I think the books are good just not page turning for me.

I like that we got more in depth on the 3 main characters, Riley, Ember, and Garret but I'm not a fan of the love triangle and this book was full of that. Riley is a rogue dragon that is trying to take down talon the big dragon empire but they are not the good guys and had planned to kill Riley (Cobalt is Riley's dragon name) Ember escaped becoming a viper for Talon going after and kill ...more

This was great to see the characters further develop. I think Garrett shows the most improvement by far. Ember annoyed me a lot. I like her spirit in some ways but her selfish impatience is going to get someone killed! Ugh! And bossy to Riley who has so much experience that she constantly disregards. Riley's jealousy-I don't even know what to say yet. I want to get a better feel for Wes. And don't even get me started on Dante... Okay so the characters annoyed me overall lol. This is the second installment of the Talon series and I was just as impressed with this as I was the first one.
In this book, we follow Ember and Colbalt after they escape from Talon. But Ember can't just turn her back on the solider from the Order who saved her. She will do anything to make sure that Garret is safe. But if that happens, then what? She has feelings for a human but yet her dragon is calling out to Colbalt who is another dragon.
