I decided to pick up this book so that I can read some more Owlcrate subscription book.
I enjoyed the story, and I am looking forward to reading the second from the duology.
I like the hate to love trope, it is very well, and the slow-burning love is written well too.

Alosa, Riden, Draxen, Vorden
I loved how fierce Alosa is throughout this novel. That scene in the beginning when she uses her skills to best the pirates trying to kidnap her was so good. I don't know how more than one person didn't realize something more was going on.
That didn't even prepare me for her other gifts. I enjoyed the banter between her and Riden and can't wait to see if more is going to come of their relationship.
The only thing that annoyed me was her defense of her father. On the o ...more

All I can say about this book is AMAZING!!! It had me smiling and laughing. It had everything I wanted in a pirate book. I loved all the main characters and I loved the supporting characters. I hadn't thought where they were going to take this book but I love the abilities Alosa had (I will not spoil that for anyone) it was action packed and just SO SO GOOD!!!
