What Members Thought

This one is a little hard for me to rate. I am having a hard time pulling my scattered thoughts together about this book but I'll try to be as clear as possible.

First of all, I honestly think that the reason I am struggling to put my thoughts down is that I bought into the hype of this series. I think that I hyped it up too much in my mind so I am feeling a little disappointed that it didn't fully meet my expectations. I am not saying that I didn't like or enjoy this book, because I did. I just

As I read more and more paranormal books, I am finding I am liking them more and more. I'm still amazed at myself! If you had spoken to me this time last year I would have said that I would never pick up a paranormal book if you paid me. Goodness, wouldn't I have missed out. This, the first book in the Mercy Thompson series, was a fantastic start. I immediately took to Mercy and her personality - intelligent but willing and happy to work in a garage, attractive but not in a bombshell kind of way ...more

Interesting new character, female mechanic and walker (shifter) Mercy Thompson. Mercy has a good heart and was raised by werewolves.

Oh drat, I'm on book #7 of Mercy Thompson when I heard that it was chronologically linked with the Alpha & Omega series (starting with Cry Wolf). So now I have to catch up with the Alpha & Omega books. If you want to do it right from the beginning, here's the reading order. (view spoiler)

I loved this book. Mercy Thompson is an excellent heroine. Her strengths are not defined by her mystical powers as a walker but as an adaptable person with special abilities. Raised by werewolves she understands the inner workings of being part of a pack without the bother of actually having to conform and be pack. It is the readers priviledge to get an inside look at Mercy's knowledge of "others" and things that go bump in the night.

Mercy is an auto mechanic who finds herself deep into a myster

"Moon Called" is the book that I managed to finish for the Magical Readathon O.W.L.S 2020 for the transfigurations class. "Moon Called" is also one of the first books I heard in the BookTube community, and when I saw the book in my local bookstore and bought it.
The truth is I enjoyed it very much. I believe that I am fond of the urban-fantasy genre.
Mercy is a great character; she is smart, loyal, caring, funny, and sarcastic.
She can hold her own against all the Alpha men in her life. And, oh

This is my first book by Patricia Briggs and I am sorry I waited so long to read her books! I will definitely be reading more of her books especially in this series. I enjoyed Mercy, Adam, Samuel, Jesse, Warren and Zee.

I have read other books and series with super natural creatures but this is the first where werewolves were the main characters. They are very entertaining and sexy at the same time. It was fun reading about male werewolves and how territorial they can be just like their human cou

2024 audio reread

Started in a car, finished at home. This time I watched the romance with Samuel and Adam in full context with later books, and also the bits about her relationship with Bran and Charles, especially in context of how these will be further defined and explained.

Sometime I’ll have to do a witch focused reread.
