I liked the heroine in this book a lot - she is tough but not too tough, which means she has to also use her brain. There was a lot of world setup, but it was interesting.
I really didn't know what to expect from this book as I have only read 2 maybe three other books involving werewolves. It is taking me a little bit longer to grasp the concept of werewolves than it did for vampires LOL. I found the book to be a bit slow and a little bit on the boring side at the start but it continually got better. Well-written and hard to put down. Pack dynamics are described very well and give dimension to the story.
