Took me a little while to get into this book – then there were a few places where I felt like it got bogged down a tad – so was impatient for the writer to get on with it – but only little niggles like this that stopped it from being a 5 star read. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Amelia Hathaway is the head of her family. Not technically, but because her older brother is about worthless at this point she might as well be head of the family. Her family inherited the Ramsey estate and has moved to live there. This place is a fixer upper to say the least and their family hardly has the means to repair it. Cam Rohan (Cam...mmm...), a man that she just keeps running into, has more money than he needs or wants and offers to help her with her family and home.

I thought this was a good one. Not my favorite by Lisa Kleypas but very good. I loved that this Hathaway series seems to be incorporating her Wallflowers series into it! I miss those ladies. :)

One of my other GR friends mentioned that they got a little tired of Amelia trying to hard to hang on to her independence in the face of the fact that she obviously loved Cam, and it annoyed me as well. I tried to put myself in her shoes though and I think that she was trying so hard to hold on to it becau ...more

Have had this book on my to read list for ages and finally got around to reading it! I am now sorry I waited so long I really enjoyed this book and am looking forwards to reading the rest of the series :)
