This was the worst. Made it to page 150 and couldn’t take it anymore. I honestly don’t understand how anyone enjoyed this book. Kristin Hannah is not for me.
This is a Grapes of Wrath for the illiterate. Without any redeeming literary qualities and writing for 6th graders this book should be relegated to the trash heap.
3.5 ⭐️ I liked the story… and all the history that came with it. And I honestly liked the characters but it was a little slow and drawn out for me.. especially in the beginning and it was awfully depressing at times.
