What Members Thought

Quite an adventure! A gang of thieves and frankly, misfits, setting out to do the impossible for a huge reward. Their journey is fraught with impending disaster for their mission keeping you worried the whole time. They have to breach the Ice Palace and retrieve a very important person held inside. This story kept me wondering and worrying. Good one!

Soooooo much better than I was expecting. Can't wait to get my hands on Book 2!

It took me a while to get into this story. The writing is great, the dialogue is fun..lots of witty banter, and the characters are interesting.
There seemed to be a lot to wrap your head around at the beginning. A lot of new lingo, and an extensive array of characters to keep track of.
By the last 1/3 of the book, I was sucked completely in. Reminded me of the movie Ocean's Eleven! Lots of twists and near disasters. ...more

Incredible book. Leigh Bardugo has grown as an author since her Grisha series. Her ability to have different characters' point of view is incredible. The story line was intriguing and kept me continuously guessing. I love all of the characters and Inej's strength. I was pleased it did not turn into a full blown love story even though it was starting to blossom. I enjoyed learning more about the different areas in this world. I cannot wait to read the next book.
