A huge surprise read for me .. stayed up all night reading it.
Warning: Violence [crime family :( ]
Setting: rural Montana in winter
Kristen, 16 years old, was the pivotal character for me. She protected her 10 year old (special needs - deaf) brother.
(Not a perfect novel .. but definitely five stars.)
