My last book of 2023. And as much as I wanted to really like this one, for me it was just mediocre. Maybe I am just getting tired of the alternating story line and the two to three protagonists? Which this book had. I would have been happy following along with the first woman introduced and letting her bring the second woman into the picture as she met her. But...sigh...that seems to be a thing of the past. Currently making a reader follow two story lines is the popular thing.
