I felt this was a 4 or 4.5 star book right up to the ending. But I really didn't like how it ended. I felt that nothing was solved and the status quo remained the same. So therefore I gave it a lessor rating.
This is the story of a young Indian girl - Cherokee - that ends up sent to a boarding school and what happens to her there. No one listened to her and although she had family no one fought very hard for her. It is written from her point of view - that of a nine year old - so it does ...more
