Edit: 5 star reread, but I'm leaving my original review. I do think this is much more enjoyable coming back to it with the knowledge of where the story goes (esp in book 2) and already loving the characters.
While I really enjoyed the second half of this book, I really can't rate this any higher than a 3 because the first half made me want to DNF multiple times.
