Definitely a "it's not you, it's me" book; this was compelling and well-written and yet just didn't do much for me. I liked Nora and I loved Iris, and would have enjoyed seeing more of Wes in the present as opposed to mostly in flashbacks. It was fascinating to see the pieces fall together for both the escape from the bank robbery and Nora's escape from her abusive stepfather in the flashbacks. ...more

This book was great! It was an enjoyable and enticing read. The writing is excellent, and the plot and flashbacks were exciting. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers or books with characters who have complicated and interesting backstories.

Story being the main girl (Nora), her new girlfriend and her ex boyfriend go to the bank to receive her birth certificate when suddenly, the bank is robbed.
As the story progresses we find out a lot more backstory for all 3 of the characters.
