this was actually incredible. i was pretty iffy about solitare so i wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this either but it was a pleasant surprise! it was so fun to learn more about aled as a character after heartstopper but frances captured my heart. they're both so well developed and their friendship is just such a highlight. the casual rep is always great but particularly well done here. this was *mostly* just vibes, similar to solitare (but better imo). i didn't mind it at all though. radio

I sort of want to buy a ton of copies of this and hand them out to kids at my school, but I'm currently broke so I cannot.
Just...damn. This one didn't hit me quite as hard as Solitaire did, but I still loved it. I first read this as a freshman, and rereading it going into my junior year, with college looming on the horizon...it hits different. my heart was left shattered somewhere in between the last few chapters. i am hollow.
alice oseman is an absolute genius! she describes basically 1/3 of the students in such a great way and honestly? i don't want to go to university either! and it's so heartwarming to know that i'm not alone!
also, if you have a sibling that you love a lot and you need to feel the worst pain there is to feel (for some fucking reason?) maybe this is the book.
