Spent the last 24 hours on and off reading this and I just adored it so much. While I definitely enjoyed tbdate more and felt it was much sadder, this one was a good prequel. It was the signature Silver bittersweetness that most of his books have. If you weren't sad after reading tbdate don't expect to cry over this one though.

WOW !!! I've never read a book so fast. From the very beginning I was hooked and every chapter surprised me with plot twists I should have seen coming but for some reason didn't. There's a lot of different characters that seems unrelated but it all comes together as the story goes forward. Every single one of these lives are interesting, suprising, and useful to build the novel's universe.
