I was on page 400 and still felt like nothing had happened. I can appreciate a slow-burn, but this was too slow-paced and seemed to be lacking the tension and positive developments in the relationship. Dominic and Ally seemed to be stuck in the same spiral for the whole book and when they finally - finally! - got together it seemed like all the drama that could’ve been throughout the whole book was jam packed into the last 100 pages. I found it very forgettable overall.

I think I have found my new favourite romance author because her portrayal of grumpy sunshine is on another level. And dear God the tension in this book was just incredible. The only reason it’s not the fully five stars is because I feel like there was a bit of time towards the end of the book where it felt a bit blah
