My first five star read this year! Hearing serial killer romance I think the first thought comes to mind is that this would be very thriller, like criminal minds but two people battling bad guys and running away from the cops.

Not even close. I think it’s wonderfully crafted, the banter is witty and cute. The characters have depth. I would say this is almost an “insta love” romance. But we get the “you touch them you die” trope and he falls for her first.

Dark romantic comedy might be one of my favorite things ever. This is the perfect mix of hilarious banter and dark twist serial killer goodness. Will I ever eat ice cream again...that's yet to be determined.

Sorry i had to come back and lower the rating even more bcs like that spice scene was so ewww that im still not over it - even though the rest of the content was actually surprisingly adorable (dark comedy romance is a new genre for me so i didnt know HWAT to expect) - and with spice im pretty much desensitised to it at this rate so for something to make me go 🤢 is a LOT
