Mini-Review: Paranormalcy by Kiersten White What I love the most in a paranormal story is when the author can take a whole bunch of myths, lore, fairy tales-whatever you want to call them and have them interact which each other in an organic way. Evie being an operative for the International Paranormal Containment Agency makes for a great foundation for just that! this book is about evie, a girl who from a young age, lived in the IPCA center...a place where they took care of the problems that had to do with supernatural creatures...but she is really unique because she can see through paranormals'glamours...that's how she recognizes them...but then, lend comes into the center a turns her life upside down....now evie finally starts questioning herself...is she a paranormal too?yes she is and all those years she thought that she was human and her ability was this book is about evie, a girl who from a young age, lived in the IPCA center...a place where they took care of the problems that had to do with supernatural creatures...but she is really unique because she can see through paranormals'glamours...that's how she recognizes them...but then, lend comes into the center a turns her life upside down....now evie finally starts questioning herself...is she a paranormal too?yes she is and all those years she thought that she was human and her ability was just an anomaly..she also learns that, she is a level 7 paranormal and that she will never be able to leave the center...and when paranormals are found murdered, she has to deal with it and as time passes, she learns things that she had never imagined and she has to make some decisions and sometimes, taking decisions isn't the easiest thing...

so...paranormalcy was a really good book..at the beggining, i actually found it a bit boring but as i read more and more i was surprised and amazed about how good the ending and the whole story was....the characters were amazing...evie's been through a lot of things and it's amazing the way she survives and keeps living her life...if i was stuck in a center underground and had to track and 'arrest' supernatural creatures every single day i wasn't going to make it...it's really boring and utterly UNACCEPTABLE, living in there all by yourself while the world outside is waiting...and raquel, i was a bit disappointed in her because she was supposed to protect evie, but she just kept saying that she didn't believe her and she totally ignored her...now let's go to lend, omg lend he is the most amazing character in the whole book mainly because he is a boy and also because he understands evie in a way that encourages her and makes her feel stronger...oh and i think i forgot someone...reth, the fairy who is trying to hurt evie...he is so evil and he was determined to 'fill' her...if i was her, i was going to smash his face and cut him into tiny little pieces.

by the way the cover is GORGEOUS and i can't wait for the next book...i really want to read the next one and i think i won't be disappointed!!! ...more

Jaké mám pocity po dočtení téhle růžové knihy? Ze začátku jsem byla zděšená...Hodně zděšená. Nesedl mi styl psaní autorky, ani Evie. Po půlce to ale bylo lepší a popravdě to celé dělal hlavně Reth. Lease jsem si dosud neoblíbila, ale nevadí. Nápad celé knihy je skvělý a já se těším na další díly.
