I was so incredibly intrigued by the premise of this book. I really enjoyed the opening scenes and the setup. I was with it. And then it felt like everything slowed down. We're following after J, a 12 year old boy, as he starts to feel doubt and question everything he knows. It all started to feel very mid and repetitive; we went in circles with Warren and his guilt, and J with his misgivings.
