The callbacks to the other worlds are what makes me give this 4 stars. Disappointed in the lack of character development among Tharion and Ithan but hoping that comes with the set up for the next book. I’ll be honest, Bryce annoyed me for a good 90% of this book. She set standards for other characters but didn’t uphold them for herself, hated her ancestral history yet kind of turned around and did the same thing to our friends in Prythian, and overall I just kind of feel like she was a completel ...more

What a story!!!

I’m so glad I waited for this one to come out before starting the series. I don’t think I would’ve been able to wait after the 2nd book’s cliffhanger ending. I truly enjoy SJM’s books. I love the plot, the badass FMCs and the whiplash twists that you never see coming. 🤣
