This book was even better the second time! Being able to see where all the secret little threads were woven leading up to the big reveals at the end made me appreciate her writing even more. I love the complexity of these characters so much. Can’t wait to binge book 2 in one sitting like I did this one!

4.85 ⭐️ I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up Heartless Hunter. The cat and mouse game between the Crimson Moth and Gideon keeps you on your toes! Verity and Alex were the friends Rune needed, but I wasn’t expecting the twists and turns that came from it all. In the end, Alex never faltered and had Rune front of mind. But the battles they were fighting were too big and important to keep Rune out of the game. Great read! I love how I pictured the scenes in the story - it would make an exc ...more

I had to take some time to digest how I felt about this book.

Did I like it? Yes. But was I more invested in her choosing the brother and best friend who stood by her side even though she's a dirty, rotten witch? Also yes.
