4.75 ⭐️ When the walls of implicit bias crack and begin to crumble, we get the most action-packed heist I’ve read in a while! The best part? The immense complexity that the emotions and situations create for our main characters. Love, loss, hatred, and trauma fight for dominance while rebellion strikes out across the island.

Wow I loved the conclusion to the crimson moth story. The different locations, the heart wrenching romance, the edge of your seat action, it had everything I wanted ✨🦋

Better than the first book, but the pacing was odd--I feel like this was a bit too long and could have been broken up into a third book, OR some of this could have gone into the first book, where there was very little action.
I think my biggest issue with this story is that I had a hard time understanding/believing Gideon's evolution from bigoted witch hunter to witch lover. It didn't seem step-wise or believable, and maybe that's just due to the current political climate. Regardless, this was a ...more

Such an amazing book!!! One of the best duets I’ve ever read. Gideon and Rune were the best.
I’m so sad this world is over. I’m going to miss it so much.
I can not go on enough about how good this one was.
Getting to see the culmination of everything and the world that was built was everything.

Couldn’t put it down! Great story, zero complaints. I was truly invested in the outcome and enjoyed how book 2 expanded the scope of the story and gave it more depth. 10/10
