It reallly was a cute enjoying story. But it wasn't "sweet" and to the point like other stories. It was kind of like based on real life in a way it also wasn't. I mean there was a lot of problems happening in between the story and i mean a lot.

Like first and foremost, they both liked each other from the start but they didn't know how to admit it . With all their problems brewing every single second. Although honestly it was pretty surprising how I even enjoyed this because I had A LOT of doubts It reallly was a cute enjoying story. But it wasn't "sweet" and to the point like other stories. Although honestly it was pretty surprising how I even enjoyed this because I had A LOT of doubts about this book. It wasn't paranormal like i'm used to reading. It was "real life" with no magic or you know paranormal stuff like vampires, werewolves, etc.. but I JUST COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN.
I mean I was just so interested on how it would end (even though I already knew who she would end with) but I just wanted to know what would happen with this or that person and how Anna would express her feelings to him and he to her. It was pretty impressive for a "normal" book. And it was really cute and sweet but not intense like other type of books. Which I really liked. It didn't make me feel disgusted or wierd so that's good.
And it was in Paris which made me feel happy for some reason.
I wasn't expecting the main character Anna to have a mind of a fun teenager but mature girl.
I mean judging by the name of the book and the cover I was expecting her to be all crazy and wierd but "okay". I'm happy it didn't turn out like that and that she was incredibly funny and easy going but tough at times. And I like main characters that surprise me in alot of moments and make me cheer them on and she did that. Like how she defended her friend when the mean girl called her a name. (she punched her in the nose but didn't do much harm) that truly was shocking coming from her.
Honestly to me this book is not the type I would go all crazy over but its a good story. And it amazed me how much I liked it and felt sad when it ended. But it was really good! :) i'm partially sad that she won't be in paris much longer but i'm happy she found her "true home". :) ...more

I liked the beginning of the book, but as it dragged on I started to really dislike Anna. I liked the plot and most of the characters.

I liked this book the second time around. I listened to the audiobook this time around and I enjoyed it and can't wait to pick up book 2. The story felt better for me this time around. Although it still felt pretty childish, I didn't hate it. ...more

That is it! I actually miss my French Classes back in high school because of this book! Yes,I miss Madame Xyrza and our little french greetings before we start the class. Merci beaucoup Madame,because of you I understand the French passages in the book :)

I love the setting! For God's sake Paris! I get to imagine Notre-Dame and the beautiful french stores, restaurants and their cuisines, their bake shops and cafe and crêperie! Not to mention my love for crêpes! I got so excited with this book. An ...more

If i could rate this ten out of 10 i would. I LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK <3
Im not a huge romance fan, i dont mind if the characters in the book im reading fall in love but focus on the other topic, so when i finsiehd just listen i was like "lets go for a romance" so i picked this one up knowing it was supost to be good.

I have just finished this book and i am immediately rereading it. I don't even care if this is not productive because this book is just THE. Cutest. Adorablest. Funniest. Romanticest. Amazingest. Sweetest. Book I have EVER read. And I think this book deserves a million stars and a hug because Stephanie Perkins is just EPIC.

OH, and so is Etienne St Clair ;)

Oh my what a LOVELY read! Completely heartwarming, endearing and most importantly irrefutably and unapologetically authentic. Perkins shines a new light on the contemporary genre with this brilliantly written novel, which touches upon all aspects of love. I defintely recommend reading and rereading and reading it again for good measure :)
