This is too exciting so several times I had to quit reading so my heart could calm down. I was surprised to read that Rebecca Yarros has connective tissue disorder which I also have and her heroine Violet has it too! You can tell she is a military brat as she knows too much about the military and possibly even the Academy but I did read she is an Army brat. She lives in Colorado.

OmG! This book is worth the hype!

Fourth Wing is an action packed fantasy romance novel. With enemies to lovers troupe. I love the characters they really make it more interesting. The plot is so good even if it is sometimes expected, theres also twist and the ending i just cant!!! Looking forward to the next book even if it takes a long wait. Its worth it! Smush a bunch of my favorite fantasy tropes into one book and you get Fourth Wing, including:
- Underdog FMC that proves everyone wrong. Bonus points for, what I’m assuming, is Ehler-Danlos rep
- “Is he going to kill me or kiss me” level enemies to lovers plot
- Super loyal giant sidekick that will eat your enemies which in this case is a FRICKIN DRAGON

If you do just one thing this summer, it is to trust me and read this book! Worth the hype 100%! Fourth wing had me in a complete chokehold from start to finish in the best of ways! Every chapter literally ends in a cliffhanger which keeps you from putting it down! A court of mist and fury was the last book that kept me up till 4 AM reading But now fourth wing has done it. It is just as good as Acotar! There is going to be 5 books in this series at this time but that is always subject to change, of course. This story is a dark, brutal, bloody high fantasy adventure. It has the elements of a scorching good slow burn with spice that absolutely fits perfectly, and I mean perfectly with the plot! Such an amazing plot too. Such an amazing story! The character growth for the main female character, Violet is absolutely believable, and you grow right along with her! she is no fighter, she is a scribe (one who works in libraries, and with books) so for her to stay alive in the brutal war College, she hast to rely on her extraordinary brains to stay alive. Everyone is against her, so she rises above everyone and saves herself. It is an excellent mix of plot and character driven story. You don’t get an annoying, simpering, whining mean female character that you want to brain dust. Violet is strong and powerful in mind, and becomes powerful in body. She listens, has common sense, and is willing to learn and grow. All the characters are absolutely believable, and some become even lovable. I laughed, yelled, and yes, I don’t do this often, but I did shed a tear. It has every element of an amazing fantasy story. Sword fighting, dragons, magic, brutal fights, slow burn, love interest, secrets, epic journey, revenge, do want mist be done to stay alive, character growth, world building, it is perfection! Rebecca Yarros is an exceptional writer, and she will be an instant buy for me from now on! An absolute masterpiece! Thank you Rebecca for this amazing adventure, and we all cannot wait to continue this epic journey! Also, thank you to red Tower publishing for believing in the story and publishing It’s brilliant content! 5/5🌟3/5🌶️

Fourth Wing is the start of a fantasy series which takes place in a war college where a few strong people train to become Dragon Riders and protect the kingdom from outsider attacks. This book felt very reminiscent of Harry Potter and other YA books of the 2000s and it was a good read to get lost in imaginary worlds for a while instead of reality.

I don’t know how to put into words how I feel about this book. Like it’s quite literally part of my identity now. I laughed, I sobbed, I was annoyed at people messing with my Violet, and the ENDING??!!??!! I would have never in my life seen it coming. Ever. Is it November yet?!?!?!!!! I need Iron Flame now!!!!!
