This story was dark, even the story within the story about a princess is dark. While this story is supposed to be about an Afghan woman but you can definitely tell it was written by a man and is only told through what a comatose male character can see or hear. A woman is taking care of her comatose husband in her house with her 2 young daughters. He was shot in the neck because he was a fighter in a civil conflict, that conflict comes to their neighborhood and it is no longer safe to stay there
