I chose this book for my read the world series for Bolivia and I really did not enjoy this. It was informative but Domitila's relationship with her children and husband was really alarming to me. The book is set up as a narrative but was taken from several speeches, letters, and some conversations with the editor. This has been done before, for example Autobiography of Malcolm X but the narration of the story was trying to be both linear and by concept which did not really work. There was not a ...more
