There is no way to give a summary of this novel... this book is a story of many people among which Ruth who reads the diary of Nao who writes about her remarkable grandmother...
But that is only the surface: this story is also about feeling lost where you live, about how the world is different if we live in different places, about how children sometimes take care of their parents, and most of all it is about time....

Een tijdelijke vertelling: een boek wat interessanter wordt naar gelang je verder vordert in dit boek. Een boek met verhalen in verhalen waarbij de schrijfster de verhalen weet te verweven van een schrijfster met een schrijversblok en het leven van een jonge Japanse puber waarvan haar dagboek aangespoeld is op het eenzame strand van de schrijfster.
