Artem: Here I am again with another Asian fantasy recommendation! This book is a retelling of and Asian fairytale called The Wild Swans and what's more, it feels like a fairytale in the way it is delivered. The writing is immaculate. When I say immaculate, I mean it. I haven't read such good writing in a while now. The vibes it gives off are great. The best part of the book is the sibling love, how they're ready to do anything, ANYTHING for each other. This one made my life complete. It's basically Asian Mythology meets an action packed adventure with a little darkish fairytale vibes! It's beyond five stars for me !

The beautiful cover lured JOMC into choosing this book and we finished it this last weekend! We know a couple members enjoyed it enough to dive straight into the 2nd book right away and wish them an exciting read. solid 4 stars ⭐️

did someone mention dragons? bc then I'm definitely in!

what I adored in this book:
🐉 the dragon(s), obviously
🐉 the character arc of the FMC
🐉 the plot twists
🐉 east Asian mythology... you know I'm a sucker for all mythology-inspired fantasy novels
🐉 high stakes

I'm easily entertained but also the pacing really worked for me in this story. often, I need a couple of chapters/50 or so pages to really get into a fantasy novel but here, I was immediately hooked. I think the author did a s ...more
