Mei: This is one of the first romance books that I've read that's completely written in the MMC's POV and it makes it SO MUCH hotter because of the dynamics and desired dynamics here. Lucian and She-Wolf are so precious and sweet together, and I love the build-up of the tension here. You can tell there's attraction from the get-go with how enchanted he is by She-Wolf. It truly never stops and only builds and builds and builds.🤭 The slow burn was worth it for the great spice!

Through it all, he NEVER ONCE wavers from his desire to be dominated by the She-Wolf. I absolutely love the kinks present: (ALL the praise, ALL the caring and everyday life touching and patting, and a wonderful rightful appreciation for She-Wolf's strength) and it was fun seeing how Lucian react to everything. Lucian also undergoes a lot of personal challenges as he forays into the bigger world for the first time in his life, so there's commentary about religion and the church as well. His Secret Illuminations also has nice LGBT+ representation and I enjoyed all the side characters too.

This is absolutely one of my faves of the year!! I'm so grateful to all the people who post recs on GR and Reddit because they find some stellar books! 🥰 Lucian and She-Wolf are amazing together and so freaking sweet. I am a huge fan of the writing and I loved the both of them so very much and they're super precious with each other. The entire story is told from Lucian's POV and right from the get-go, we witness how enchanted he is by She-Wolf, our badass and really caring FMC, and it never stop ...more
