six friends stuck in an RV, headed to a spring break vacation they’ll never make it to. outside, there’s a sniper waiting for them - but just one of them. they have eight hours, until the sun rises, to spill their secrets and figure out who, so the rest can survive.
‘five survive’ is told through the point of view of red, who i’m (pretty sure) has adhd, which was something cool to explore. the writing itself was wonderful. something i worry about when writing my own books is that my characters ar ...more

Oh my god. This book.
The ending had me staring at the wall with my jaw dropped to the floor for a solid 5 minutes, LIKE WHAT? All of the pieces just fell together so smoothly but I never, ever would have guessed it.
This was one of those books where you pick it up and all of a sudden you’ve read 200 pages and it’s 4 hours later, it’s just simply impossible to put down. When you think not much else can happen the biggest thing will get revealed which leads to so many more little things getti ...more

Im sorry... THE PLOT TWISTS. WITH A HUGE S.
The way I gasped out loud when I reached the plot twist. o m g.
The plot was amazingly written, the description of events, the characters, everything. Holly Jackson never disappoints.
I love Arthur so much, he made sure to stay by Red's side throughout the whole shooting.
Oliver sucks. He is such an idiot. Like bro shut up nobody cares that you're the oldest so you're the smartest like tf.
I cried so much at the letter that was at the end. My heart bro ...more

Not nearly as good as her series A Good Girls Guide To Murder, but still a fantastic read! I have a question though, and I'm not really sure if I should put this under spoilers or not (because you can kinda tell somethings unusual within the first 2 pages). (view spoiler)

some parts were predictable, while others weren’t. the characters weren’t all that likable but i guess that was the point. i was looking for a thriller that could keep me at the edge of my seat and this did just that, so it felt perfect in that sense. however, the final plot twists weren’t as shocking and the reasons behind the character’s motivations didnt land so good all the time. i really enjoyed it though and that’s what’s important. also i’m REALLY GLAD [redacted] died.

I don't think, in all of my life, I've read a book i could not stop Put down. Well, this one's done it for me.
Had me guessing all the time, it was marvelous. Everything matched perfectly at the end, it was exquisite. Every clue for the resolution was hidden in a phrase yo had already read and it was your job to put it all back together.
Simply perfect.
