Read this while slowly going crazy, "selling" used cars (curling up inside used cars and crying myself to sleep, watching lazily "-core" tapes in minivans tricked out with video screens and VHS decks (pre-DVD craze), taking hour-and-a-half POWER! lunch breaks where I'd follow a 45-minute run with a 30-minute red wine binge).

"Let me show you folks this Ford Aerostar. I know it inside and out."

Mind bending indeed. It's not a GREAT novel, but it's so outworldly compared to Dick's other works (and this should say something) that it'll keep you coming back for more. ...more
