The problem I had with this book was that I had too high expectation...
I expected Scarlet Pimpernel...
I expected Possession...
It didn't close to either of them! It's purely chick lit ~ from the blurb of the book, I expected the 'history' bit to be diary entries / letters (like Possession) but it's not, it's a story form and it's not even like the Barbara Erskine books where the protagonists are inundated by visions of the past. So it just didn't gelled for me. Eloise was researching the Pink Car ...more
